The Pledge Model

      Rather than a flat donation, we ask sponsors to commit a dollar amount per car washed. We will wash up to 250 cars on event day. Your pledge is only collected based on the number of cars our youth actually wash — so you know exactly where the impact comes from.

Example: A Gold Sponsor pledging $10 per car contributes $2,500 if we reach our 250-car goal. If we wash 200 cars, the contribution is $2,000. The math is transparent, and the impact is real.

After the event, we will send each sponsor a final report showing total cars washed, total raised, and a thank-you message from the seniors served. Twin Falls Senior Center is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — all contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. A formal tax acknowledgment letter will be mailed with your final invoice following the event. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual situation.

A note on retirement account giving: If you are age 59½ or older, you may withdraw from your 401(k) or traditional IRA without the 10% early withdrawal penalty and use those funds to fulfill your pledge. If you are age 70½ or older with a traditional IRA, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to transfer funds directly from your IRA to a qualifying charity — excluded from your taxable income and counting toward your Required Minimum Distribution — up to $105,000 per year. Both are IRS-recognized strategies for charitable giving from retirement accounts. Please consult your financial advisor to determine the best approach for your situation.
